2020–2021 SARC User Account Registration Form
to be completed
ONLY by Authorized Registrants

Authorized Registrants: County Superintendents, District Superintendents, Direct Funded Charter (DFC) School Administrators, and Nonpublic Nonsectarian (NPS) School Administrators, as listed on the California School Directory.

During the fall of each year, all County and District Superintendents, DFC School Administrators, and NPS School Administrators of active schools/local educational agencies (LEAs) that maintain any of grades kindergarten through grade twelve (K-12) are required to annually register on the School Accountability Report Card (SARC) User Account Registration web page for a secure SARC user account (i.e., username and password) to gain access to the online SARC Web Application system. The SARC User Account Registration web page will remain open for registration through the fall of the following year.

For security purposes, the SARC User Account Registration system will only recognize registration by authorized registrants.

Upon successful registration, the SARC User Account Registration system will generate an email to the authorized registrant with a secure SARC user account (i.e., username and password). The secure user accounts will provide each registrant with the capability to create additional user accounts in the SARC Web Application system for their designated SARC Coordinators, as well as to modify and delete their newly created user accounts. Note, it is the responsibility of the registrant to provide their designated SARC Coordinators with the user account information (i.e., username and password) that the registrant establishes when creating these additional user accounts in the SARC Web Application system.

During the fall of each year, all previous SARC user accounts will expire and will no longer allow access to the online SARC Web Application system. Therefore, annual registration by authorized registrants is required even if the authorized registrants (and their designated SARC Coordinators) have not changed from the previous year.

Instructions: To begin the process of registering for a SARC user account (i.e., username and password), enter your LEA County-District-School (CDS) code and your school or district email address (as listed on the California School Directory), read the Terms of Use, check the box that you agree, and select the "Submit" button.

For County and District Superintendents, register as a District (not for individual schools, even if it is a one-school district) and enter the county code (2 digits) and the district code (5 digits), followed by seven zeros for the school code. No spaces should be included between the codes (i.e., 99999990000000).

For DFC and NPS School Administrators, (for those that are in the "Administrator" category as listed on the California School Directory, even if their position is Superintendent of that DFC/NPS school) register as an Administrator at the school-level and enter the county code (2 digits), the district code (5 digits), and the school code (7 digits). No spaces should be included between the codes (i.e., 01234567891234).

Mandatory fields are designated with an asterisk (*)

Email addresses must have a school or district domain (i.e., xxxx@ousd.org, xxx@egusd.net, etc.). Personal email accounts will not be accepted (i.e., Gmail, Yahoo, etc.).
