School Description and Mission Statement (School Year 2020–2021)

Our mission is to prepare students for success as lifelong learners and productive citizens. We provide school and community-based experiences that build on the students’ interests and abilities and support them in their transition to post-school adult lives.

We strongly believe that young people with disabilities should be active participants in making critical decisions about their futures. The ATP provides academic and vocational experiences that allow students to envision their potential for meaningful employment and personal fulfillment. The desired outcome upon completion of the program is to have well-rounded, job-ready, integrated adults.

Currently, 11 adult students are participating in the Adult Transition Program.

  • 11 students are receiving supported employment services provided by the Adult Transition Program staff, including mobility training, job development, job exploration, and job placement.

  • The Adult Transition Program also provides flexible support that is individually determined to increase students’ community mobility, such as exploring the surrounding community to eventually use public bus transportation to move between instructional to vocational work sites.
